Dr. Bender is a California licensed Naturopathic Doctor. As a graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Bender is trained as an expert in natural medicine. After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelors of science in Pharmacology& Toxicology from the University at Buffalo and top of her class in medical school she has continued her training in cutting edge therapies. These included intravenous nutrient therapy, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and regenerative therapies like prolotherapy from the Hackett-Hemwall Foundation. She is passionate about helping individuals optimize their health so they can live their lives to the fullest. Dr. William Clearfield, a1975 graduate of LaSalle College with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology, completed his medical training at the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, nowDes Moines University in Des Moines, IA in 1978. Returning to his hometown, Philadelphia, PA,  he completed a rotating internship and served as a resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Metropolitan Hospital. Dr. Clearfield completed a Family Practice Residency in 1982 at United Health and Hospital Services in Kingston, PA and was certified by the American Board of Family Medicine shortly after graduation. In 1985, Dr. Clearfield organized a personalized diet program, on an Apple 2 that was integrated into two local community hospital dietary programs, Nesbitt Memorial Hospital and Wilkes-Barre General Hospitals as well as initiating the first hospital based Protein Sparing Modified Fast Program in Northeast Pennsylvania. Dr. Clearfield obtained a certificate degree in Cardiac Rehabilitation from the University of Wisconsin/Lacrosse in 1986 and linked that knowledge to the liquid diet program “Medifast,” providing a safe, medically supervised method of rapid weight loss at Nesbitt Hospital in Kingston, PA. Dr. Clearfield graduated from UCLA’s “Acupuncture for Physicians” program.  Shortly thereafter he was elected to the board of directors first as the education director then as Secretary of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Originally residency trained and board certified in Family Medicine (1984), Dr. Mark L. Gordon continued his medical education in Clinical Orthopedics (1990), Cosmetic Dermatology (1993), and Sports Medicine (1995) prior to culminating in Interventional Endocrinology (1997) – a term which he coined in 2003. In 2005, Dr. Gordon received his exempt Pharmacist license from the State of California. After 15 years as a general consultant to the Medial Board of California, he was enlisted as a consultant in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine and Alternative medicine in 2015. Dr. Gordon has been a strong advocate of preventive medicine through the optimization of neuroactive and neurosteroids. He was instrumental in increasing the recognition of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as a cause of hormonal deficiency in the hallmarked presentation on ESPN's Outside the Lines (2007). Shannon Rego is a genetic counselor in Dr. Mike Snyder's lab at Stanford University, which specializes in applying the power of big data toward a goal of personalized, precision medicine. Shannon specializes in analyzing genomic data from both healthy participants and those with a variety of rare diseases to identify medically relevant information and communicate that information back to participants and their physicians. Prior to joining the Snyder lab, Shannon received her M.S. inHuman Genetics and Genetic Counseling from Stanford University.


Hannes Röst, Ph.D.

Hannes Röst obtained a BSc in Biochemistry and a MSc in Bioinformatics from ETHZurich, and during his Ph.D. in the lab of Prof. Ruedi Aebersold at ETH Zurich, he developed novel computational methods to analyze mass spectrometry-based proteomics data. This work has allowed researchers to increase throughput of targeted proteomics experiments by up to 100-fold and increase the number of samples that could be analyzed in a single study. After his Ph.D., he joined the lab of Prof. Mike Snyder at Stanford University to apply his work in the area of personalized medicine. In Stanford, Hannes focused on developing computational tools for handling, managing and analyzing large, heterogeneous and longitudinal datasets. His research at the University of Toronto explores the capability of novel mass spectrometric methods to obtain highly quantitative proteomics and metabolomics data matrices and use these quantitative data to address questions in systems biology and personalized medicine.
